Abstract: The design guidelines, analysis methods, design measures and test validation of the reliability and safety for the recovery and landing subsystem of manned spaceship are discussed. The results of ground and flight tests show that the measures taken for ensuring reliability and safety in design are effective and with sufficient validation, and the recovery and landing subsystem is reliable and safe, according to their index requirements.
