Abstract:
In order to study the influence of the foam aluminum shock isolator on the mechanical properties of the satellite deployable attachment, including the modal frequency reduction and the vibration response amplification, a foam aluminum shock isolator with surface filling with J-133 structural adhesives and in a flat structure is designed. Taking some deployable digital antenna as an example, the foam aluminum shock isolator is analysed. The modal test and the vibration test are carried out. It is indicated that the foam aluminum shock isolator reduces the first three orders of modal frequency by no more than 2.5 Hz, but reduces the vibration response by about 30% in average.
