Abstract:
To address the challenges of heavy workload and low efficiency in magnetic testing for batch-production satellites, an intelligent magnetic testing system was designed and implemented. The system comprises eight subsystems that integrate magnetic moment measurement, magnetic field measurement, magnetization/demagnetization testing, and automatic cable connection/disconnection, achieving a high level of automation. The magnetic flux method was adopted for rapid magnetic moment measurement, and magnetic field gradient information acquired through a magnetometer array scan was integrated to enable fully unmanned operation via automated process control. Verification results showed that the system achieved a magnetic moment measurement error of less than 5% ± 20 mA·m
2, completed single-condition magnetic moment testing within 5 s, and controlled the entire testing process for a single satellite within 30 min, supporting annual testing throughput of over 1,000 satellites. Compared with traditional manual systems, the proposed system significantly improved testing efficiency, accuracy, and labor cost savings. The results demonstrate an efficient and reliable engineering solution for batch-production satellite magnetic testing, providing valuable insights for the development of intelligent magnetic testing technology and AIT laboratory construction in China.
