Application of variable polarity plasma arc welding technology for large-scale sealing structures

  • 摘要: 文章简要介绍了变极性等离子弧焊接技术在国内外的发展状况以及新一代大型载人航天器密封舱体的结构和材料焊接特点,对变极性等离子弧焊接技术的工程化应用难点进行了分析,并提出关键工艺解决措施。通过研究和试验验证表明,采用变极性等离子弧焊接技术是解决中厚度铝合金焊接结构最好的工艺方案之一;对变极性等离子弧自动焊接技术的应用前景进行了展望。

     

    Abstract: The technique of variable polarity plasma arc welding(VPPAW) is analyzed in terms of its development history. The application of VPPAW for materials and structures of China's new type large-size spacecraft is discussed with special emphasis on the engineering challenges, and then the countermeasures are proposed. Studies and tests show that VPPAW is one of the best processing schemes for the welding of medium-thick aluminum alloy structures. The application prospects of this technique are evaluated.
