Thermal control design characteristics of the spacecraft New Horizons

  • 摘要: 新视野"探测器是第一个用于探测冥王星、冥王星卫星以及柯伊伯带其他天体的航天器。其在发射、在轨飞行和探测过程中经历了复杂多变的热环境,热控系统须保证探测器及器上仪器设备在适宜的温度范围内正常工作。文章介绍了该探测器热控系统的总体设计方案,重点分析了热控设计的依据、特点及其带来的启示。

     

    Abstract: The spacecraft New Horizons is the first spacecraft for the reconnaissance of Pluto and its satellites as well as other celestial bodies in the Kuiper Belt. The spacecraft faces with a complex and varied thermal environment in the launch, the on-orbit flight and the detection process, and its thermal control system is designed to ensure the instrument and the equipment in the appropriate temperature range of normal work. The overall design of the New Horizons is discussed, especially the thermal control design with its engineering basis, characteristics and some enlightenment.
